I vid with Final Cut Pro, and most of my vidding thus far has been with NTSC DVDs, which I rip to my computer and then use MPEG Streamclip to convert clips to mov. I use the Apple DV/DVCPRO NTSC codec for my clips, but I'm starting to wonder if there's something else that would work better. In particular, I've had some issues with non-square ( Read more... )

Hi all--I'm hoping someone might be able to guide me in the right direction to resolve this problem. I want to make a vid with a piece of music that is only available in live performance. I've been using final cut express for videos for over a year now and It's amazing.  My problem is in still pictures.  A friend wants me to make a graduation dvd using still pictures.  Just watching still pictures transition gets boring I need movement in them so I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to get movement in the pictures throughout the ( Read more... )

Is there a way to rip clips on the Mac for Final Cut Express 4 off of DVDs? I've been using Handbrake, but FCE4 keeps giving me an error that says - File Error: Unknown File. I'm assuming this means it's not the right file type, but I've tried all the different combinations I can think of with Handbrake. Can anyone please give me some tips? I just ( Read more... )
